Newmarket East (Harry Walker) Elevated Tank Upgrades Construction- Contract 2-Mechanical and Electrical Upgrades

The Region will ONLY accept ELECTRONIC BID SUBMISSIONS submitted through the Region’s Bids and Tenders website for this Request for Tender. HARD COPY BID SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Bids must be submitted and received by the Region no later than 1:00:00 p.m., local time as established by the Research Council of Canada. 

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The Work includes but is not limited to prospective bidders to submit bids for the Newmarket East (Harry Walker Parkway) Elevated Tank Mechanical and Electrical Upgrades located at 221 Harry Walker Parkway South, Newmarket, ON, as further described in Section A of the RFT Particulars (Appendix A) (the “Deliverables”). 

MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Any bids received from bidders who are not Certificate of Recognition (COR) certified, who have not obtained COR equivalency or who have not submitted a valid Letter of Reciprocity shall be rejected from further consideration.

The following is a list of prequalified bidders that have been approved to submit bids in response to this RFT under Request for Prequalification No. RFPQ-981-23.

• WSN Construction Inc.

Any bids received from bidders not listed above shall be rejected from further consideration.

Site Visit / Information Meeting 

Bidders are invited to attend a site visit / information meeting to be held on Wednesday February 28, 2024, at 221 Harry Walker Parkway South commencing at 1:30 p.m.

DEPOSIT: All Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of $250,000.00 in the form of a digital Bid Bond from a recognized guarantee or surety company acceptable to the Region and authorized by law to do business in the Province of Ontario.  Bidders shall submit a digital Undertaking to Bond with their Bid. The Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the Estimated Contract Price.
