Continuous Improvement Collaboration Initiative - Town of Pictou, Town of Stellarton, Town of Trento

The goal of this proposal is to implement a Program of Continuous Improvement and LEAN best practices among the Towns of Pictou, Stellarton, Trenton and Westville (the Partners) for the Towns to gain shared resource efficiencies among their operational business processes.The scope of the project will look at municipal activities as they relate to the day-to-day and yearly operations of the Municipalities. The focus is on budget line items and line departments that support the core activities of each Town. The overall governance structure and functions of the Towns are not within the scope of this initiative. The critical goal is to find efficiencies and cost savings that will benefit the taxpayer with the potential to enhance services for each municipality.
