Description
This Request for Supplier Qualifications (the 'RFSQ') is an invitation by the Department of Public Works on behalf of the Province of Nova Scotia (the 'Province') to prospective respondents to qualify in accordance with Evaluation of Responses (Part 2) for eligibility to potentially provide Daycare Equipment and Appliances for Publicly Funded Child Care Facilities, as further described in the RFSQ Particulars (Appendix C) (the 'Deliverables'). This RFSQ is being conducted pursuant to the Nova Scotia Sustainable Procurement Policy and Procurement Manual. The evaluation and selection process outlined in this RFSQ is intended to result in the authorization of a standing offer with one or more supplier(s) who will act as the Province’s primary, but not necessarily exclusive, source of supply for the Deliverables as and when requested ('Standing Offer'). This RFSQ does not oblige the Province to authorize or order any goods or to spend any monies. A financial obligation will come into force only if there is an authorized order against the standing offer and only to the extent stipulated in the order ('Call-up').
The Inventory & Supply Chain section of Department of Public Works (DPW) is responsible for a variety of services that includes the purchase, delivery, installation and storage of Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment ("FF&E") that conform with the Province’s criteria. By standardizing FF&E purchases and establishing stronger relationships with suppliers, it is expected that the Province will gain efficiencies and reduce overall costs while improving consistency, quality, and service.
The scope of this RFSQ is to acquire goods suitable for use by children and staff at publicly funded childcare facilities within Nova Scotia as part of the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development’s Early Learning and Child Care space creation initiatives.
Respondents will be expected to deliver these goods anywhere in the province as described in the Call-up.
