Interior Painting in 2 Yukon University Residences Lounges and Corridors in 520 Residence and Interior Painting of 510 Residence

The Yukon Government (YG) as represented by the Property Management Division’s (PMD) Capital Development Branch (CD) is requesting bids from Contractors to complete the preparation and painting of common areas and corridors in the 520 Yukon University Residence Building and the interior painting of the 510 Residence Building in Whitehorse, Yukon.

The Government of Yukon is signatory to a number of trade agreements that affect government procurement. Under two new agreements (Canadian Free Trade Agreement and Canadian-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement), selected jurisdictions within Canada have been given the ability to utilize exceptions that allow government to promote regional economic development, without providing undue support to monopolistic activities; Yukon is one of them. The Government of Yukon may use up to $1 million dollars, up to 10 times per year by using a tendering process that is limited to Yukon companies only. If any or all bids are over $1,000,000, then the Government of Yukon reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to cancel this Tender and issue a new tender on the same terms and conditions. For greater certainty, this right does not limit and is in addition to any other cancellation right under this Tender.
