NOI SCA24CP103 - Resilient Agricultural Landscapes Program (RALP) - Delta Farmland & Wildlife Trust

Notice is hereby given that the Province of British Columbia, as represented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food (the ‘Ministry’) is contemplating making a direct award of a contract to Delta Farmland & Wildlife Trust (the “Supplier”). The next agricultural policy framework, the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP) is a five-year (2023–2028) investment by federal, provincial and territorial (FPT) governments to strengthen and grow Canada's agriculture and agri-food sector. As part of Sustainable CAP, a new Resilient Agricultural Landscapes Program (RALP) has been included to increase the environmental resiliency of agricultural landscapes across Canada by accelerating the adoption of on-farm land use and management practices that maximize provision of multiple Ecological Goods and Services (EG&S).

The Ministry intends to direct award the Supplier to:

• Deliver a Payments for EG&S program for 2023-24, 2024-25, 2025-26 to agricultural producers across the Lower Mainland;
•  Conduct monitoring and annual verification of land use agreements; and
• Undertake communication activities including field tours, and print and online resources that increase awareness of regenerative agricultural practices promoted through RALP.
