Summary Details:
The District now requires a Contractor to supply and install/construct a new structure at 9215 James Avenue, Summerland, BC. The District would like the structure to be installed as soon as possible, ideally by the end of 2024.
The District envisions a tension fabric structure due to the District’s available budget and time constraints; however, the District is open to other prefabricated or rapidly assembled options provided that they are within the District’s available budget ($300,000), meet the District’s objectives, and have a similar or better warranties and anticipated lifetimes. The intended use for the structure is to store materials and equipment.

Submission of Proposals:
To be considered, Proposals must be submitted via bids&tenders online bid submissions functionality in accordance with the instructions in the Opportunity document. Proposals must be received no later than the Opportunity Closing Date & Time. It is solely the responsibility of the Respondent to ensure that the Proposal is received on time.
There will be no public opening.
Requirements for Participation and Requirements to Request to Participate:
Proposals not clearly demonstrating that they meet the following mandatory criteria will be excluded from further consideration in the evaluation process.
The Supplier shall provide the District with proof of the following prior to beginning work on this project:
Term of Engagement:
The Agreement shall be valid until the work is complete.

The District is subject to the Canada-EU Comprehensive Economic Trade Agreement (Chapter Nineteen); however, this procurement will not be within the scope of that agreement.

The Supplier shall provide the District with proof of the following prior to beginning work on this project:
- A Business License that allows the Contractor to perform work in Summerland (either a Summerland Business License or an Inter-Community/Mobile Business License from another Okanagan-Similkameen municipality).
- WorkSafe BC Clearance Letter addressed to the District of Summerland, indicating that account is active and in good standing.
- Commercial General Liability Insurance, Automobile Insurance, and Professional Liability Insurance (if providing engineering services directly) as per the form of agreement included with the Opportunity.
Term of Engagement:
The Agreement shall be valid until the work is complete.
