SUMMARY
Through this Request for Proposals (“RFP”), the District of Lake Country (the “District”) invites Proposals from sufficiently-experienced organizations, for design-build services for the ‘Lake Country Mountain Bike Park’ project on a 6.0 ha parcel of District-owned parkland along Okanagan Centre Road West and Tyndall Road, near the Lakestone Development in Lake Country, BC.
Full details of the Design Services and Work required is provided in Division 01 of this RFP.
Key summary details for this RFP are as follows:
* ‘Phase 2 – Construction Documents & Construction’ is to be considered ‘Optional Services & Work’, meaning that this Phase 2 Design Services & Work shall only proceed at the District’s sole option, and subject to District approval of; Phase 1 Design, proposed Phase 2 schedule, and proposed Stipulated Contract Price for Phase 2. Should the parties not be able to mutually agree to Contract terms, including a Stipulated Contract Price for Phase 2, then the District may at its sole option conduct a further procurement process to identify and contract with other parties to perform Phase 2.
Form of Contract:
The Form of Contract to be executed between the District and the Design-Builder for Phase 1 shall be the Consulting Services Agreement which is contained in Section 00 70 00 of this RFP.
Should the District and the Design-Builder mutually agree to execute a Contract for Phase 2, then this shall be the CCDC14 – 2013 Design-Build Stipulated Price Contract as modified by the Supplementary Conditions, which is contained within Section 00 70 00 of this RFP

- Maximum Budget: the District has a maximum budget of $425,000 (to include PST, but exclude GST) available for all Design Services and Work identified herein.
- Progressive Design-Build Approach: the Services and Work will be performed, by the ‘Design-Builder that is selected from this RFP, in 2-phases using the ‘Progressive Design-Build’ approach. These 2 Phases can be summarized as follows:
