Notice is hereby given that, Interior Health Authority, Vancouver Coastal Health Authority, Vancouver Island Health Authority and Providence Health Care through their collective agent, Provincial Health Services Authority (“PHSA”), intends to directly award a contract to the following supplier to provide Trans-Catheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) products for a term of one (1) year at an estimated value of $215,000 CAD.

PHSA, as agent for the Health Authorities has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process and direct award an agreement for the following reasons:
• Abbott Navitor THV valve was recently approved by Health Canada and PHSA is seeking to establish a non-volume contract until completion of a provincial TAVI competitive process by July 31, 2025. This process makes the Navitor valves available to patients that require them; these valves are only available with Abbott Medical Canada Co.
Clinical acceptability is a driving factor in the selection of the appropriate implant for each patient, and proposed pricing for Navitor line from Abbott is comparable to other suppliers' product lines currently in use across all implanting sites.
Vendors who wish to challenge this decision should submit a detailed written objection for the attention of Harshwardhan Naik, Buyer – Cardiac care by email to harshwardhan.naik@phsa.ca before 3:00pm Pacific Time, June 14, 2024. PHSA will review any and all issues received by this date and provide due consideration to each objection.
