BCTS BC Bid Solicitation Standard
The proposed contract involves the upgrade of two (2) 12.192m Timber Deck Bridge (4.27m Wide) On concrete lock block foundations and the construction of 970m of Forest Service Road (FSR) including the installation of a 12.192m All Steel portable bridge (4.86m Wide) on Sill Log/ Rock Pad Foundation in the Jim Creek operating area of 100 Mile House Timber Supply Area. The two Bridges to be upgraded are on Metal Rd. while the new construction and bridge installation Junctions off Metal Rd. at approximately 7.5km.
The Contract will require bridge installation during the fish window, timing is of essence in this contract. Various equipment for bridge installation and road construction will be needed for the execution of this contract. Activities will require professionals and technical staff working in various conditions including isolated areas.
Contract deliverables will be Bridge Installation according to the General Arrangements and road construction according to the project specification as specified in the contract. Deliverables are planned for completion during the field season. Project phases will be completed concurrently as per the approved work progress plan and schedules.

Tender submissions must be submitted in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in the tender package.

If your bid deposit is in the form of cash, money order, certified cheque or bank draft, you will not be able to e-bid. See allowable submission delivery method(s) above. Also see Conditions of Tender for acceptable bid securities.

The lowest priced or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.

Be aware that BCTS has made changes to its EMS and SFM programs to meet the updated 2022 Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Forest Management Standard. Changes impacting BCTS clients include new training requirements (Table 008-1, 008-1A, Tailgate Training, SFI Awareness documents, and new Indigenous rights awareness training, as well as changes to training frequency and a new continuing education component). In addition, note changes to EMS/SFM Environmental Field Procedures and Incident Reporting Procedures which occurred June 1, 2022.

Supervisors and workers will need to be familiar with these changes prior to commencement of operations. Unverified bid results will be posted to BC Bid after tender opening and once awarded the contract award results will be available on BC Bid.
