**Amendment #1 March 9, 2023 - A Q&A document added into the documents.
The purpose of this contract is to upgrade crossing structures and provide road maintenance to provide access to Timber Sale Licenses.
An L100 load rating is required for all crossing structures included in this contract. The scope of this contract includes all works included in achieving this load rating for the following crossings, along with associated road earthworks, and submission of the Professional of Record’s statement of general conformance for each structure. See appendices for bridge site plans. See Schedule C for description of materials provided by the Province and materials provided by the Contractor.
Contractor is responsible for providing a Professional of Record engineer. Payment for bridge items will be made upon submission by the engineer of a statement of general conformance for a given crossing.

Tender submissions must be submitted in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in the tender package.
The lowest priced or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
Be aware that BCTS has made changes to its EMS and SFM programs to meet the updated 2022 Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Forest Management Standard. Changes impacting BCTS clients include new training requirements (Table 008-1, 008-1A, Tailgate Training, SFI Awareness documents, and new Indigenous rights awareness training, as well as changes to training frequency and a new continuing education component). In addition, note changes to EMS/SFM Environmental Field Procedures and Incident Reporting Procedures which occurred June 1, 2022.
Supervisors and workers will need to be familiar with these changes prior to commencement of operations. These documents are posted on our external EMS/SFM website at BC Timber Sales - Business Area Environmental Management System (EMS) and Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) - Province of British Columbia (https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/industry/forestry/bc-timber-sales/forest-certification/ems-sfm). More information on SFI available at www.forests.org.
As a condition of finalizing any service contracts with the Province, including service contracts arising from procurement processes, those contracts will require that all contractors and their personnel and any subcontractors and their personnel who will access BC government workplaces be fully vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccines approved for use in Canada, subject to any authorized exemptions. Such contracts will contain associated provisions required by and satisfactory to the Province regarding the foregoing, which may include provisions regarding mitigation measures for exempt personnel, compliance, enforcement, and the use of an attestation certifying compliance or presentation of a BC Vaccine Card by personnel.
Unverified bid results will be posted to BC Bid after tender opening and once awarded the contract award results will be available on BC Bid.

- Removal of log culverts
- Grass seeding
- Bridge installation, removals, and repairs
