Description
Through this Negotiated Request for Proposal (NRFP), the Village of Cache Creek invites Proponents to provide proposals for the 2023 Flood Recovery – Collins Rd. Watermain project (Project).
The scope of work to be considered the “Base Proposal” is summarized in Section 2.1 Scope of Work of this NRFP. In addition to responding to the Base Proposal, the Proponent is invited to propose any innovations and value-added works that the Proponent believes will reduce the overall cost and improve constructability of the Project. The intent is for the Proponent to use their knowledge of construction practices to improve the Project by reducing the overall Project cost, providing added value, or shortening the construction time frame.
The Owner is seeking to engage a general contractor to complete the Collins Rd. Watermain project. All works will be done in accordance with MMCD and supplemental specifications outlined in the enclosed sample agreement. The completion of the following work is expected (approximate quantities):

- Approx. ± 135 meters of 200mm DR11 HDPE watermain
- Approx ± 50 meters of 200mm DR14 C900 PVC watermain
- Locating and confirming existing utilities (water at tie-ins, gravity sanitary crossing to pass under, and sanitary parallel to water on Collins Road on north side of crossing. No storm in this area). Provide Hydrovac services for daylighting existing services where applicable
- Directional drill crossing of Boneparte River
- Bends and couplers to tie to existing.
- 2 - 200mm tee or hot tap of existing
- 2 - gate valves
- Thrust blocks as required
- Pressure testing and chlorination of the line prior to commissioning
- Approx. 130 square meters of road restoration (gravels, asphalt concrete pavement).
