Description
The Regional Executive Director, Northeast Natural Resource Region, hereby invites Applications and Tenders for Non-Replaceable Forest Licence (NRFL) A98271. The “Licence” will be awarded for a period of 5 (five) years commencing on or after September 1, 2024.
The “Licence” will provide for cutting permits to be issued for the harvest of deciduous leading stands (51% deciduous by gross cruise volume) in the Fort St. John Timber Supply Area. The allowable annual cut (AAC) will be 100 000 cubic metres per year, with a maximum volume of 500 000 cubic metres.
Subject to future timber availability: a) the term may be extended up to a maximum term of 20 years; b) the AAC and maximum volume may be increased.
The applicant must own a secondary processing facility or a processing facility that produces pulp, paper, oriented strand board or newspaper as defined in the Forest Licence Regulation 203/2012. The input capacity of the processing facility is not a limiting factor to the application. The processing facility must be in the Peace Natural Resource District. Timber harvested under this licence will be comprised of at least 51% deciduous by gross cruise volume. Applicants should familiarize themselves with all requirements provided in the specimen licence document, including attached schedules.
Pursuant to Section 13 (2) of the Forest Act, NRFL A98271 is offered to qualified bidders. Applications must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked “APPLICATION AND TENDER FOR NON-REPLACEABLE FOREST LICENCE A98271 IN THE FORT ST JOHN TIMBER SUPPLY AREA” and must be received by the Northeast Regional Executive Director, Ministry of Forests Northeast Natural Resource Region 100 - 10003 110th Avenue, Fort St. John, British Columbia, Canada V1J 6M7 before 1:30pm (PST) on August 16, 2024.
