Description
The Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction (the Ministry) is seeking a contractor for third party administration of BCEA Assistance in the Service Area to provide service for up to 35 Clients for each calendar month during the term of the Contract.
The Contractor will serve Clients who receive BCEA Assistance from the Ministry and who have shown a pattern of unacceptable behavior, who pose a serious risk to themselves and others, or who may have a legal reason preventing them from attending a Ministry Community Service Office. The Contractor will act as Third Party Administrator (TPA), responsible for administering BCEA Assistance for such Ministry Clients under a Contract with the Province.
The Contractor will provide services from a specified physical office location to help Ministry Clients develop better personal management skills, such as anger management, literacy, harm reduction, problem-solving, self-care, personal hygiene, money management skills, or other life skills through various supports that may include counselling.
The Contractor will acquire from the Ministry, BCEA Assistance cheques for all applicable Clients, and release those cheques on Cheque Issue Day on viewing and/or receipt of required documentation (identification and required forms) from Clients.
The Ministry’s budget for third party administration of Assistance in the Service Area is $8746.50 per calendar month.
