Description
This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Cowichan Valley Regional District (the “CVRD”) to prospective proponents to submit non-binding proposals for Consulting Services - Island Rail Corridor Planning, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”).
The CVRD requests proposals from qualified firms/consultants to provide professional consulting services to engage in short and long term planning for the Island Rail Corridor, in collaboration with First Nations and local governments impacted and/or bisected by the Island Rail Corridor.
The successful Consultant (the “Consultant”) is expected to have proven expertise in First Nations engagement, facilitation, project management, transportation planning, economic analysis, research, community and stakeholder engagement, as well as demonstrated programming and work planning expertise within a limited term.
The responsibilities of the Consultant will include, but are not limited to:
The successful proponent is expected to begin work immediately upon being awarded the contract. The project must be completed by January 15, 2025, to meet the grant requirements and deadline.

This will be the only notice posted to BC Bid concerning this project. All documents/addenda are only available for download/submission on the CVRD Procurement Portal Bonfire. It is the sole responsibility of the Respondent to check the Bonfire portal for any addenda(s) before submitting their response.

- Submission and presentation of deliverables to CVRD Board.
