Description
The Province of British Columbia is seeking responses to its Request for Proposal from Proponents to continue the financial management and Claims adjudication for the BC Public Service group life insurance plan and accidental death and dismemberment plan.
The Members of the plans consist of approximately 43,500 employees. This includes BC Public Service employees and employees of other public sector employers who participate in the Public Service Benefit Program. There are approximately 2,800 retired employees who have elected to continue their insurance in this group life insurance plan.
The group life insurance plan is self-administered.
The Contractor will be responsible for adjudicating and paying Claims, providing advice related to beneficiary or life Claims issues, financial management of the plans including collecting premiums, providing an annual financial report, assisting with pricing, and advice regarding segregated investment funds.
