Description
The Province is seeking a contractor to support the Taku River Tlingit First Nation–British Columbia (TRTFN-BC) Project Team to develop a socio-economic and environmental assessment (SEEA) base case and impacts/effects assessment for the Taku watershed, to guide land use planning within this area.
The SEEA base case and impacts/effects assessment will require taking direction from the TRTFN-BC Project Team, as well as engagement with communities and stakeholders in the region. Relevant information to support the project and contractor will be supplied by the TRTFN-BC Project Team.
The contractor should have comprehensive knowledge of how to plan and deliver a SEEA base case and assessment as part of land use planning processes, applying BC’s “Socio-economic and Environmental Assessment Guidance for Modernized Land Use Plans” (2022). The contractor should have experience working with northern BC Indigenous governments and be able to approach this project with respect for Indigenous values and ways of knowing, and for the government-to-government relationship between TRTFN and BC that guides this work.
