Description
This Request for Quotations (the “RFQ”) is an invitation by the City of Abbotsford (the “City”) to prospective respondents to submit quotations for the supply and delivery of one (1) Urban Forestry Bucket Truck, as further described in Section A of the RFQ Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”).
The City is located in British Columbia, adjacent to the Canada-United States border, Greater Vancouver and the Fraser River and is the largest city by area, and fifth largest by population, in BC. Known as the Hub of the Fraser Valley, the City has a role in supporting and providing services, programs and amenities for its residents and strives to continually improve the quality of life within the community. As the cultural and economic center of the region, the City is home to centralized services and agencies including health care, court services, transportation, university, airport, provincial and federal government, entertainment and cultural facilities, and commerce.
The City is looking for a qualified contractor to supply and deliver one (1) complete Urban Forestry Bucket Truck. The truck is to be supplied on a medium duty cab & chassis with a minimum 19,500 kg, 7,500 kg GFAWR, and 84” cab to axle measurement. A aerial work platform with a 45’ working height, articulating and telescoping boom, outriggers, pistol grip controls, hydraulic tool circuit, and dielectrically tested. A metal chip box with minimum dimensions of (7’6” L x 54” H x 96” W) with NO front cut out included. The truck will also come with a Subframe hoist and 15,000 lb tow package with removable tow hitch and 2 5/16” ball, and Hot shift PTO.
The complete Urban Forestry Bucket Truck is to be delivered, freight pre-paid, FOB to 31739 King Road, Abbotsford BC, V2T 5Z2.
