REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS
DESCRIPTION OF SCOPE OF WORK
The Work covered under this project consists of the furnishing of all superintendence, overhead, labour, materials, tools, equipment, insurance, fuel, transportation and all things necessary for and incidental to the satisfactory performance and completion of construction and pavement rehabilitation of Newton Library and Seniors Center, located at 13775 and 13795, 70th Avenue, Surrey, British Columbia (the “Place of Work”) in strict accordance with the Specifications and accompanying Drawings and subject to all terms and conditions of the Contract. The general components of the Work include: · 60 m² of paver sidewalk,· 5,600 m² of existing asphalt removal,· construction of 1,130 tonnes of asphalt pavement,· 200m of curb,· pavement marking & signage, parking curbs & speed bumps
INFORMATION MEETING An information meeting will be hosted by the City Representative to discuss the City’s requirements under this RFQ (the “Information Meeting”). While attendance is at the discretion of Contractors, Contractors who do not attend will be deemed to have attended the Information Meeting and to have received all of the information given at the Information Meeting. At the time of issuance of this RFQ a meeting has been scheduled as follows: Date: June 23, 2022 Time: 9:30 a.m., local time Location: Newton Library, 13795 70th Avenue, Surrey, B.C., V3W 0E1
ADDENDA If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the City Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca and the City website at www.surrey.ca (collectively, the “Websites”), and upon posting, any addenda will form a part of this RFQ. It is the responsibility of Contractors to check the Websites for addenda. The only way this RFQ may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum. No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFQ or may be relied upon by any Contractor. By delivery of a Quotation the Contractor is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFQ, including any and all addenda.
