Solution Architect Services

As part of the curriculum redesign, Alberta Education is developing the new LearnAlberta (http://new.LearnAlberta.ca) to support the work of staff and learning partners in the design, development, deployment, and continuous improvement of provincial curriculum for K-12. It is envisioned that the new LearnAlberta will enable learning and teaching resources to be accessed and utilized in innovative, efficient and purposeful ways. This system’s ability to aggregate components will increase the variety of learning experiences that are available to Alberta students. Alberta Education anticipates awarding one (1) Contract for the provision of Solution Architect Services described in this RFP. The Solution Architect will be responsible for the architecture of the new LearnAlberta.ca and associated technical solutions to ensure they meet business requirements, mitigate potential risks, and meet quality standards. The Solution Architect will also be responsible for providing technical leadership to the development teams. The role of the Contractor’s Resource under any resulting Contract will involve providing solution architecture services on an inflight agile, cloud software development project as well as several small projects within the Digital Content Management and Delivery branch of the Curriculum Division.
