Infrastructure - Request for Proposal - FORT SASKATCHEWAN CORRECTIONAL CENTRE VARIOUS BUILDINGS – METAL ROOFING REPLACEMENTS

The intent of this Adjusted Price bid call is to solicit and receive formal offers to perform the following Work: 1. Metal roof replacements at the Fort Saskatchewan Correctional Centre Building No.: Women’s Residence 1 & 2, Men’s Residence 5, 6, 7, 8 & 9 .1 Examine all Drawings and Specifications to ascertain the scope of work. Refer to manufactures written product application data as it relates to this project. .2 Remove and discard existing pre-finished metal flashings. .3 Remove and dispose of all existing roof assembly components including: pre-finished metal flashings, insulation, to expose the existing vapour retarder. .4 Remove and dispose of all existing facia assembly components including: pre-finished metal flashings, insulation, to expose the existing vapour retarder. .5 Remove all water, snow, dirt, dust and debris from the existing roof surface after removal of all existing roof assembly components. .6 Install new primer, and self-adhered vapour retarder to the existing vapour retarder on the steep slope, facia and soffit areas. .7 Install two layers of new polyisocyanurate insulation in two rows of Z girts on the steep slope, facia and soffit areas. Ensure all new insulation panels are tightly abutted. .8 Install new 12.5mm plywood over insulation and Z girts on the steep slope, facia and soffit areas. .9 Install new primer, and high temp self-adhered membrane to the new plywood surface on the steep slope, facia and soffit areas in accordance with Section 07 26 00 and the Detail Drawings. .10 Install new Job site (site-formed) Manufactured Standing seam roof panels on all roof areas in accordance with Section 07 61 00 and the Detail Drawings. Colour selection of flashings to be approved by Province prior to fabrication and installation. .11 Install new Facia and soffit panels according to Section 07 62 00 and the Detail Drawings. Colour selection of flashings to be approved by Province prior to fabrication and installation. .12 Install new pre-finished metal flashings according to Section 07 62 00 and the Detail Drawings. Colour selection of flashings to be approved by Province prior to fabrication and installation. .13 Install new Dektite roof flashings around all existing vent pipe and gas vent roof penetrations. .14 Install new two-ply SBS modified bitumen membrane assembly in the existing built in roof gutters in accordance with Section 07 52 00 and the Detail Drawings. .15 Install new continuous 24 gauge 152mm gutters on non insulated canopy roof areas. .16 Install new pot lights in soffit areas of the main entrances in accordance with Section 26 05 00 and the Detail Drawings. .17 Install new snow melting system in all gutters and downspouts in accordance with Section 26 05 00 and the Detail Drawings. .18 Include for all costs for mechanical and electrical work related to the roof replacement scope of work. .19 Provide new snow retention system complete with engineered shop drawings. Refer to drawings for location of snow retention system. .20 Only one waste bin with approved locking lid will be allowed within the walls at a time. .21 Recycled metal will be removed from site daily, open waste bins are acceptable in laydown area. .22 All materials are to be stored in laydown area, there will be no storing of materials inside the walls overnight. .23 All equipment is to be removed from inside the walls and parked in the lay down area after every shift. .24 All main entrances and emergency shall remain accessible at all times. When working in these areas a spotter is required. .25 Rig mats are required to minimize any damage to the grounds. .26 Only two buildings can be worked on at one time. Buildings must be side by side.
