    Description
    This Request for Standing Offer (the 'RSO') is an invitation by the Province of Nova Scotia (the 'Province') to prospective bidders to submit bids for the provision of Vertiv Liebert Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS) and Tripp Lite Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) to the Department of Cyber Security and Digital Solutions, as further described in the RSO Particulars (Appendix D) (the 'Deliverables'). This RSO is being conducted pursuant to the Nova Scotia Sustainable Procurement Policy and Procurement Manual. The Department of Cyber Security and Digital Solutions (CSDS) is a leader in transforming the way government delivers services to citizens in the internet era and supporting the Province's priority of quality health care for Nova Scotians.• Delivers excellent services, built around the needs of users.• Provides public servants with the digital services and tools they need to enable collaboration, add value, and be effective; and• Supports and enables the Nova Scotia public service to use new approaches to deliver better government in the internet era. The Department of Cyber Security and Digital Solutions (CSDS) has created an environment to support software development activities for the Province. The usage of Uninterruptable Power Supplies and Automatic Transfer Switches are key components of this environment and are currently in use as a backup power supply system to ensure network activities are not interrupted and to protect the Province’s investment on network equipment. CSDS manages the provision of these products to all departments, offices, and agencies. CSDS contracts on behalf of the Nova Scotia Health (NSH) for uninterruptable power supplies and automatic transfer switches to their client organizations in the health sector. The Province currently utilizes UPS and ATS devices in various Provincial Government and Nova Scotia Health locations throughout the province. Currently Vertiv Liebert UPS’s and Tripp Lite ATS devices are in place in these locations. The province is looking for a single vendor to provide UPS and ATS devices including accessories that meet the specifications as outlined in APPENDIX D Deliverables.
