Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) advises prospective suppliers that it intends to post a non-binding Request for Proposals (RFP) as noted above on MERX.
Note that obtaining access to the procurement documents will require prospective suppliers to register and pay a registration fee.  Pricing and payment terms are available on the MERX website.
It is anticipated that the RFP will be posted on MERX within the first quarter of 2023 (subject to TMU Board of Governors Approval), with an anticipated award occurring before April 2023. The posting date and time are subject to change at the sole and absolute discretion of Toronto Metropolitan University.
This procurement is subject to the Broader Public Sector Procurement Directive, Broader Chapter Five – Government Procurement of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), Chapter Nineteen – Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) and the Ontario-Quebec Trade and Cooperation Agreement.
The procurement is anticipated to involve negotiation.  An electronic auction is not anticipated.
Toronto Metropolitan University will post documents associated with this RFP on MERX only.
Supplier Submissions will be made to Bonfire.

The objective of the RFP is to award a Professional Services Agreement for Prime Consulting Services to one (1) qualified prime consultant for the provision of design and prime consulting services for the University’s new School of Medicine, to be located in the City of Brampton. • Phase Two: Detailed Design and modifications for Site Plan Application (Notice of Approval Conditions); and
    • Phase Three:  Construction, Commissioning and Warranty Period.
As the development strategy for design and construction is not yet determined, the Successful Proponent’s role in the Project following Phase One may change depending on the method of contract or development decided upon by the University. The evolution of the Project may result in changes to the Successful Proponent’s Work, including but not limited to, the approach of the design assignment, the nature and/or quantity of the deliverables, the form of the final agreement and/or the associated fees.

The University requests that any prospective suppliers not contact the City of Brampton, or other TMU employees about the SoM project.
