MAPLES ADOLESCENT TREATMENT CENTRE SECURITY SERVICES

The Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) is seeking proposals for security
services for the Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre site, located at 2721 Lougheed Hwy,
Coquitlam, BC, V3C 4J2, for seven days a week, 24 hours a day. One security guard is needed
to be always on-site. This will include Stat Holidays and weekends.
Security services will be consistent with best practices in a healthcare environment. Services
will be provided at the direction of MCFDs shift supervisor responsible for the care and
control of clients. This will include the physical restraint of clients and
movement of the client to a seclusion room in accordance with safe practices outlined in
NVCI training and standards of the use of seclusion rooms in the province of B.C.
The maximum budget allocated for these services is $266,500 for the entire term of the
agreement. The Term of the agreement will be from April 1st, 2023, to March 31, 2024 (12
months). There will be an option to renew for one year upon completion of the Term at the
sole discretion of the Province.
