Description
The City is seeking proposals from qualified professional consultants (the “Proponent”) to collect and evaluate pavement condition data for the entire road network. The City maintains a road network of approximately six hundred and forty (640) kilometres of pavement. The City completed the last survey in 2017, and the next pavement survey is tentatively scheduled for 2025.
The Successful Proponent will be able to demonstrate, at a minimum, the capability to reliably measure and upload the following 2022 survey pavement data for up to 640km of asphalt pavement:

Note that it is the responsibility of Proponents to ensure they monitor the City of Nanaimo Bids&Tenders website for any questions and answers and addendums to this RFP document issued up to and including the Established Closing Date and Time.

- Surface Distress Index (SDI)
- International Roughness Index (IRI), Ride Condition Index (RCI)
- Overall Pavement Quality Index (PQI)
- A report on the Present State of the Roads in the City network
