Delivery of Environmental Farm Plan program

The Contractor will be required to provide the following services: 

• Helping Eligible Participants (i.e., agricultural producers) in B.C. complete new or renewed environmental farm plans with help from Ministry-trained consultants (i.e., Planning Advisors), whose services to producer participants include supporting producers with preparing project applications for cost-share funding to the separate BMP program, if requested by the producer completing the EFP 

• Promoting the EFP program to potential Eligible Participants and stakeholders, including the publishing of success stories to be created by the Contractor and posted in online or print media 

• Recruiting potential Planning Advisors and providing administrative support for the Ministry to train Planning Advisors to complete environmental farm plans as well as supplementary management plans (e.g., riparian management plans, nutrient management plans) 

• Collecting and managing information about EFP participants, such as farm type and location (regional district, nearest city/town), and the completion date of the plan. The information to be collected does not include a participant’s results of their EFP risk assessment, their EFP workbook, or the action plan, which are confidential. 

• Reporting on program activities, outputs, outcomes, and evaluation (post program surveys, etc.) 

• Participating in interviews and usability testing sessions that will be led by the Ministry to redesign and improve the Ministry’s EFP program resources including the EFP Workbook, supporting content and communications, as time and budget resources permit
