Proponents are invited who have been pre-qualified based on specific information previously submitted through The City’s Prequalification for Engineering and Architectural Consultants RFPQ 06-006. Proposals will only be considered from proponents that have achieved a pre-qualified status in the following discipline: WATER MANAGEMENT To view the list of pre-qualified firms, visit www.calgary.ca/prequalification and select “engineering and architectural services.” The City is seeking a pre-qualified engineering consulting team, lead by a firm prequalified in the Water Management discipline under RFPQ 06-006 for engineering and architectural services, to conduct a groundwater flooding study for the Bow and Elbow river valleys in Calgary. This project investigates the risk of elevated groundwater during a flood event on the Bow and/or Elbow rivers and mitigations that can be implemented at the building scale or through land-use policy. It includes review of geotechnical and hydrogeological information and hydrogeological modelling to prepare groundwater risk mapping. This procurement process is not intended to create, and, will not create, a formal, legally binding bidding process. It will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations.”
