    Description
    1.This RFP is open to all interested vendors. 2. The City of Calgary is seeking a qualified firm to provide engineering consulting services for the following: 1. Work Package 1: Wastewater Master Plan: develop a comprehensive wastewater conveyance and treatment strategy to address The City’s short-term (year 2035), medium-term (year 2050), and long-term (year 2076) servicing needs. 2. Work Package 2: Bonnybrook Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion - Plant E Expansion Study: review feasible options for Plant E and recommend the timing and scope for the expansion compared to a new north wastewater treatment plant. 3. Work Package 3: South Catchment Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade and Expansion Implementation Plan: develop an implementation plan for expanding capacity for the South Catchment infrastructure. The successful completion of this assignment will require a wide range of technical expertise in municipal wastewater conveyance and treatment systems including, but not limited to, understanding a broad-range of wastewater treatment technologies, wastewater conveyance and treatment planning, condition assessment, process optimization/retrofit, design, operation, maintenance, sustainability, resource recovery, heat and energy balance, odour and greenhouse gas reduction, peak flow management, applicable provincial and federal regulations, asset management best practices, methods of estimating capital, operating, and maintenance costs, financial and economic analysis, and multi-criteria decision analysis. All three (3) work packages associated with this opportunity will be awarded to one (1) successful Consultant. 3.This procurement process is not intended to create, and will not create a formal, legally binding bidding process. It will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations. 4. Term: Project based
