Facilitation - Premier’s Council on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and 2S+ People

The Premier’s Council on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women Girls and 2S+ People (the Council) was established in September 2022 to advise and guide actions to make Alberta safer for Indigenous women, girls and 2S+ people. Given the broad mandate and increased public accountability, strong meeting facilitation will help the Council set achievable advice and outcomes. Proponents are invited to submit a proposal to deliver up to eight (8) one or two-day facilitated meeting sessions. The contractor will provide facilitation for up to eight (8) one or two-day in-person Council meeting sessions in different locations throughout the province (with ability to accommodate virtual participation if necessary) between September 1, 2023, and March 31, 2024. The Deliverables are: 1. Up to eight (8) one or two-day in-person Council meetings; 2. Debrief meeting with Council Secretariat; and 3. A meeting note summary document (‘what we heard’ document) following each meeting due no later than 14 days following each meeting. The maximum cost of the contract is $2,625 per one day, or $5,250 per two-day meeting, or $42,000 for all 8 sessions. The entire contract will be paid out of the 2023-24 fiscal year with the payment quarterly or following the completion of each one-day or two-day meetings and receipt of the meeting note summary document, based on negotiation with consultant. The Government of Alberta will own the results of the contract, including the meeting note summary document and all materials related to the Council. Matters related to confidentiality, data management and privacy concerns are bound by Sections 7 and 8 of the Contract guiding the non-disclosure of information.
