Training and Simulation
RaceRocks is a woman-led, Indigenous owned, training and simulation company founded in 2010. The company is based in Victoria B.C., but is fully remote with over 40 employees in almost every province in Canada. RaceRocks develops immersive training solutions and custom software tools with varying levels of interactivity from training videos that involve minimal interaction all the way through to simulated virtual reality (VR) learning environments that completely immerse the learner. Our cutting-edge, technology-empowered learning creates a seamless experience, more conducive to engagement and retention, and integrates the power of data to achieve optimal results. We use immersive game engines, appropriate pedagogical approaches, user input data, human factor tracking, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to consistently advance the state of training. RaceRocks annually invests 25% of its revenues into R&D activities. Our Core R&D lines are software, VR, and Data Analytics, with successful products moving from R&D to TRL10 and are now in use by Boeing, Babcock and the Royal Canadian Navy. Since 2014 RaceRocks has been awarded three, multi-year, multi-million dollar programs for the Department of National Defence. RaceRocks was named "Employer of the Year" in 2022 by the Victoria Innovation, Advanced Technology and Entrepreneurship Council (VIATEC).
