I'm passionate about helping my clients create clear, cohesive, polished content that will increase their brand authority and readership, and speak to their audience on a deeper level. As a freelance writer, proofreader, and editor (structural and copy), I've worked with executives and c-level leaders from the e-learning, education, not-for-profit, publishing and information technology industries. I have a bachelor's degree in social work, a master's in information studies, and a PhD in Canadian Studies. I have in depth knowledge of equity and inclusion issues, the official languages act, the history of colonialism and racism in Canada, and other issues that speak to Canada's contemporary approach to civil services. Some of my previous projects have included creating a course for an open learning university, developing a train the trainer program aimed at college instructors, editing an existing course on minute taking for non-profit Board leaders, writing and editing various articles, blog posts, and website copy, developing grant proposals, reports, and program evaluations, and ghost writing Linked In posts and emails. I have strong qualitative research skills and can edit or proofread content in both official languages or written by other writers. I also have previous government experience (with report writing and other tasks) at Service Canada.
