SNOW REMOVAL AND GRASS CUTTING SERVICES - CENTRAL POLICE BUILDING

This Cape Breton Regional Municipality (CBRM) Tender provides for the delivery of both Grass Cutting and Snow Removal Services for the Central Police Building located at 865 Grand Lake Road, Sydney NS. GRASS CUTTING REQUIREMENTS: • All grass areas shall not exceed 3” during duration of agreement. • Grass shall be trimmed at the base of all trees and shrubs, along the sides of all buildings, along edges of parking lots, walkways, and planters. SNOW REMOVAL RQUIREMENTS: • The building is a 24/7 operation and snow shall be removed so as to allow for vehicle access and exiting at all times during a snow event. Access to be maintained from the Grand Lake Road entrance to the lockup entrance. • Parking lots shall be cleared immediately following a snow event. • Parking areas shall be salted and sanded as required. • The contractor may store access snow on site in a designated area but shall remove if directed to do so. • Walkways and steps shall be maintained clear of snow 7 days a week between 7am and 7pm. • Salt and sand shall be applied to all walkways and steps as required. • Contractor to provide contact number for daytime and after-hours service. • Additional services may be requested as required by designated CBRM staff.
