Description of Procurement
The University is conducting a Request for Proposals for inspection, testing and maintenance services, as well as deficiency repair, emergency, verification inspection, bypass, fire watch and training services for the University’s fire protection and emergency systems.
The Deliverables include, but are not limited to, services to the following systems:
- Fire Alarm and Notification System;
- Fire Sprinkler, Fire Pump;
- Standpipe and Fire Hose;
- Fire Hydrant;
- Fire Extinguisher;
- Kitchen Hood;
- Exit Sign and Emergency Lighting;
- Special Suppression System;
- Fire Suppression System Backflow Preventer; and
- Glycol Systems.
The RFP is comprised of the following two (2) Category Options:
- Category Option 1 - Regular Service without Dedicated On-Site Support; and
- Category Option 2 - With Dedicated On-Site Support.
Proponents may submit Proposals for one (1) Category Option or to two (2) Category Options. The University intends to award only one (1) Category Option following Stage 5 of the RFP.
The University reserves the right to clarify the Category Option(s) the Proponent is submitting a Proposal for if the University believes the Proposal reflects a different Category Option than was selected by the Proponent.
The University intends to execute a Master Services Agreement provided in Appendix E.

The submissions will not be opened publicly.

Minimum Passing Score
The Minimum Passing Score for Stage 2: Technical is 36 Points out of 45 Points.
The Minimum Passing Score for Stage 4: Presentation is 7.5 out of 15 Points.

Contract Details
The term of the Final Agreement is 3 years, plus two optional renewal periods of 1 year each, at the discretion of the University.
