Description:
The RFP is an invitation to submit offers for Security Guard Services.
Campus Safety and Emergency Services (CSES), Housing and Ancillary Services (Housing), the Western Book Store (Book Store) and Western Libraries require a competent, trained, uniformed security guard presence to patrol and monitor Western owned and/or leased properties in an effort to deter crime, safeguard students/staff/and the public, and to protect all properties and assets both owned and non-owned. The Proponent must possess sufficient resources to meet Western’s security guard requirements which include, but are not limited to, punctual and properly trained staff and effective daily communication.
Two levels of security guards are required:
Level 1 – Uniformed security guards with basic training with required licensing, campus orientation, and additional training relating to the use of force and de-escalation.
Level 2 – Uniformed security guards with basic training with required licensing and campus orientation.
Provision of Parking Lot Attendants is out of scope for this RFP.
Although this RFP is facilitated specifically for CSES, Housing, Bookstore and Libraries, other Western faculties or departments may be interested in the services offered in the future.  As such, it is expected the successful Proponent will provide the services of this RFP to all Western faculties and departments.

Contract Term:
Three years with the option to extend for two additional one-year terms.

Duration of Agreement:
Upon receipt of equipment and satisfaction of obligations as set out in the Agreement.
