Economic Modelling and Analytical Support Services

The Ministry is seeking to purchase economic modelling and analytical support services to assist in fulfilling implementation of the Stronger BC Economic Plan.  Services will include: providing a suitable economic model (e.g., Computable General Equilibrium, other dynamic, or hybrid model), recommending baselines and scenarios to estimate potential impacts of specified polices or suite of policies on the goals and missions of the Economic Plan, and analysis of several significant policy and program opportunities. The Contractor will adapt modelling capacity with a broadly accepted track record to reflect a standard suite of assumptions with an adaptability to add scenarios specific to Ministry needs. There is a preference for the capability to model regional economies within the province in light of existing provincial, national, and international conditions.
The Contractor will be required to generate reports that illustrate scenarios resulting from implementing proposed policies and initiatives.
