Notice is hereby given that the Provincial Health Services Authority (“PHSA”), acting as agent for Interior Health Authority (“IHA”), intends to directly award a Contract extension to the following supplier to provide Automated Shift Call Out Service, for a term of two (2) years, for an estimated total value of up to CDN $1,023,724.80 (including taxes).

In accordance with applicable trade agreements, PHSA has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason:
For additional deliveries by the original supplier of goods or services that were not included in the initial procurement, if a change of supplier for such additional goods or services:
- A change of supplier would cause significant inconvenience or substantial duplication of costs for the procuring entity.
Vocantas Automated Shift Call Out system is functioning at high volumes, functioning well, and additional functionality is currently being implemented within the system., The Interior Health Authority needs to continue with this existing software solution and service provider. Vocantas is the only company that can provide support for their proprietary solution. Within the current health care climate, change management with moving to a new system comes with high risk. Additionally, a change of supplier would require significant resources and cause negative impact to workflows and performance.
Vendors who wish to challenge this decision should submit a detailed written objection for the attention of Karel Sramek, Buyer, by email to karel.sramek@phsa.ca before 12:00pm Pacific Standard Time, February 23, 2024. PHSA will review any and all issues received by this date and provide due consideration to each objection.
