To eliminate the risk of bidder disqualification based on failure to re-submit in response to an Amendment, as required by the new BC Bid rules, BC Hydro has changed its practice as of November 24, 2022, such that all changes to BC Hydro (including Q&As and Addenda) are now treated as “Addenda” (and not “Amendments”) within the BC Bid rules and, as such, no longer require re-submission by the bidder of any already made submission. Please see Addenda instructions for further information.
The above practice change means that changes (including Q&As and Addendas) to BC Hydro opportunities will no longer be posted in the RFx Documents section of this Overview tab.

Supplier Registration
Interested suppliers should note that BC Bid has upgraded its platform and that registration (or re-registration) in the new platform is necessary in order to respond to any opportunity after May 30, 2022. Suppliers are encouraged to register on the new BC Bid platform, in accordance with BC Bid process requirements, well in advance of the Closing Time for the opportunity to which they may want to respond. Notice to Vendors for RFP
To be provided access to the documents through BC Bid, potential Proponents should be
aware the company name on the Confidentiality Agreement and the company name on the
BC Bid registration must match.
Proponents shall NOT be permitted to view or download copies of the
documents unless the Proponents first delivers to Nilesh Patel a Confidentiality
Agreement signed by the potential Proponents whom the person is representing.

BC Hydro is seeking for a qualified Supplier to design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of new generator circuit breakers and related isolated phase bus equipment for Units 1 to 4 at Mica Generating Station.
A Site visit is arranged by BC Hydro on February 1, 2023.
To obtain the RFP packages, the potential proponent is requested to sign the RFP 17507_Confidentiality Agreement.
Delivery or completion date is November 2028
This procurement may involve negotiation.
This opportunity is subject to Chapter 5 of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement.
All responses should be in English.
