EN24TFH006 Bridge Repair - Mark Creek - East Kootenay

The proposed contract requires the removal, repair and re-installation of a 16.5 meter, (54ft), forestry bridge with additional Rip-Rap installation located in the Mark Creek Watershed near Kimberley British Columbia.
The contract will require a qualified contractor with various pieces of heavy equipment and previous experience working on forestry bridges. 
This contract will be required to start and finish in a timely fashion and to the satisfaction of the Engineer requirements set out in the contract.

Be aware that BCTS has made changes to its EMS and SFM programs to meet the updated 2022 Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Forest Management Standard. Changes impacting BCTS clients include new training requirements (Table 008-1, 008-1A, Tailgate Training, SFI Awareness documents, and new Indigenous rights awareness training, as well as changes to training frequency and a new continuing education component). In addition, note changes to EMS/SFM Environmental Field Procedures and Incident Reporting Procedures which occurred June 1, 2022. 

Supervisors and workers will need to be familiar with these changes prior to commencement of operations. As a condition of finalizing any service contracts with the Province, including service contracts arising from procurement processes, those contracts will require that all contractors and their personnel and any subcontractors and their personnel who will access BC government workplaces be fully vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccines approved for use in Canada, subject to any authorized exemptions. Such contracts will contain associated provisions required by and satisfactory to the Province regarding the foregoing, which may include provisions regarding mitigation measures for exempt personnel, compliance, enforcement, and the use of an attestation certifying compliance or presentation of a BC Vaccine Card by personnel.
