3531 Nanaimo E-Mobility Strategy

The City is inviting Proposals from qualified Consultants to provide external assistance for the development of an e-Mobility Strategy (‘the Strategy’). The Strategy will provide strategic direction on key actions and policies required to support the transition to zero-carbon transportation by increasing electric bike adoption and replacing gasoline-powered vehicles with zero-emission vehicles (ZEV) and help achieve the following goals in the City Plan - Nanaimo ReImagined:

1. By 2050, all transportation trips are zero carbon, through active transportation and zero emission vehicle adoption.
2. Prioritize walking, rolling, cycling and transit over other transportation modes to help Nanaimo achieve a zero-carbon transportation system.

The Strategy will involve a two-stage process:

• Stage One: Gap analysis and problem statement
• Stage Two: Solution development

This Request for Proposal is subject to the New West Partnership Trade Agreement, Canadian Free Trade Agreement - Chapter 5, and the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) - Chapter 19.
