BC Food Hub Network Management

The Ministry is seeking a qualified organization to develop and operate a new, formal BC Food Hub Network (the “Network”). The Network will support the long-term viability and capacity of commercial food hubs in BC, through an overarching governance structure, joint funding and food hub revenue opportunities, shared services, Network projects and food hub member development programs.

Working closely with food hub members, the successful Organization will be responsible for:

1. Developing and implementing the Network organizational structure including governance, operations and membership;
2. Identifying and leveraging financial resources to continue the Network’s initiatives beyond the term of the agreement on a self-sustaining basis;
3. Developing and implementing a Network financial plan to sustain operations for the Network and individual hubs through diversified revenue sources for the Network;
4. Developing and implementing shared programming and services to support the growth and viability of food hub members;
5. Developing performance measurement protocols and processes to track and report publicly on the impact of the Network and food hub members;
6. Integrating commercial food hubs into the broad continuum of services for food processing.

The Agreement term will commence on May 30, 2025, and terminate as of March 30, 2029.

To support the start-up phase of the Network, the Ministry will provide funding during the term of the Agreement on a decreasing basis. The maximum budget is $700,000, including all services and eligible expenses.
