Simon Fraser University (“SFU”) is located on British Columbia's west coast, and boasts three distinctive campuses, Burnaby, Vancouver, and Surrey. SFU has matured into one of the world’s leading teaching and research universities with more than 30,000 students, 6,500 faculty and staff, and 120,000 alumni.
This Request for Supplier Qualification (RFSQ) is an invitation by Simon Fraser University (SFU) to prospective proponents (the "Proponents") to submit their responses in compliance with the requirements outlined in this RFSQ. The objective of this RFSQ is to establish a list of Qualified Mechanical Consultants whom SFU will engage to respond to specific invitations to bid for projects, or to directly award work across SFU’s Burnaby, Surrey, and Vancouver campuses in connection with projects. The engagement of Qualified Mechanical Consultants will be on an as-needed basis for design and construction phase services for projects with estimated construction costs up to $5,000,000, or for pre-design services for projects, provided the overall pre-design fee does not exceed $300,000.
The selected Proponent(s) are to be included on SFU’s lists of Qualified Mechanical Consultants for a period of one (1) year, with an option in favour of SFU to extend the term for inclusion on the list for an additional two (2) one (1) year terms. The Terms and Conditions at Appendix “A” will apply to any Agreement that a Qualified Mechanical Consultant is awarded for the entire duration of its term on SFUs lists of Qualified Mechanical Consultants.
