Prequalification for Environmental Risk Assessor Standing Arrangement

The City of Edmonton requests the services of an environmental consultant for conducting activities related to environmental risk which include risk assessments and risk management. The purpose of the services is to identify pathways and/or receptors requiring protection as well as determining relevant concentrations for ongoing monitoring purposes. An example of the services required would be to determine if a Tier 1 equivalent protection is intrinsically available by conducting an in depth site-specific assessment which may involve a detailed study to understand the appropriate pathways and receptors, additional testing and making adjustments to the generic assumptions. Depending on the outcome of the Tier 2 assessment, Tier 2 equivalent protection may be available with engineered controls, administrative controls, restrictions and/or limitations. However; unresolved uncertainties may require on-going risk management.
