CL-215T Airtanker Group

For the primary purpose of wildfire suppression, the Province requires the ongoing maintenance and operation of its fleet of four Government of Alberta owned CL-215T Airtankers as described below: Registration: C-GFSK C-GFSL C-GFSM C-FSN Manufacturer: Canadair Canadair Canadair Canadair Model Number: CL-215-1A10 CL-215-6B11 CL-215-6B11 CL-215-A10 Serial Number: 1085 1086 1098 1099 In addition to the ongoing maintenance and operation of the Province’s Airtankers, the successful Proponent shall also provide two Birddogs. All Aircraft must be supported by a fully qualified Aircrew. The Province will guarantee 120 days for each Aircraft, in each year of the Contract over a ten year term. There are no guaranteed flying hours during the Core Period. The Aircraft will be positioned as required throughout Alberta and may be exported outside of the province if required. The Aircraft may be repositioned with minimal notice and for indefinite periods of time. The Airtanker group configurations will be: • Airtanker Group 2: Two Airtankers and one turbine powered Birddog. • Airtanker Group 3: Two Airtankers and one turbine powered Birddog. The two Airtanker groups will operate independently of each other complete with Aircrew and may be positioned separately throughout Alberta and exported outside of the province if required. The successful Proponent must be in a position to accept delivery of the Airtankers, and associated parts on March 1, 2023. The Province will arrange the delivery in consultation with the successful Proponent with the Province assuming all costs related to the delivery.
