Pre-Employment Services

The Public Service Commission (PSC) provides human resources (HR) services to the Government of Alberta including strategic and operational HR services for all government departments. The Talent Acquisition Services and Executive Search units within the PSC are responsible for recruitment to all positions within the Alberta Public Service. Talent Acquisition Services and Executive Search combined hires over 3,000 new hires annually. To support with the recruitment process, this RFP is to secure one Proponent to provide a robust pre-employment screening program suitable for the Alberta Public Service to use on an as-needed basis. The volume can vary between dozens and hundreds of candidates requiring pre-employment checks per month. Pre-employment checking services include, but are not limited to: - Reference and employment check - Credit check - Criminal record check (including vulnerable sector checks) - Academic verification - Credential check (e.g., verification of current registration in professional associations). The selected Proponent will be able to demonstrate the following: - The capability to provide the full spectrum of background checking services (Mandatory) - Extensive experience in providing pre-employment checks - Rapid turnaround times For more details, please see the attached documents
