City of Calgary - Notice of Intent - 23-1672 Sourcing of Additional Suppliers For The Rental Of Graders With Operators

The City has a seasonal requirement for the provision of up to sixty (60) Graders with Qualified Operator(s) and (“Units”) on an as required basis, for the purpose of snow clearing and removal during snow events in the winter months. These Units will supplement The City of Calgary’s Snow and Ice Control (“SNIC”) program to ensure that priority routes are cleared in a timely manner for the citizens of Calgary. RFP 23-1672 had 8 compliant submissions and all 8 vendors were awarded. Unfortunately, not enough units were provided, and we were able to secure only 21 rental graders through 23-1672. The duration of the contract will be for approximately 3 years. The newly added vendors will follow the same contract terms as 23-1672. Since the current contract term is ending soon (November 07 2024), newly awarded vendors will begin with the second year of the contract, which will run from November 08, 2024 to November 07, 2025. The third year term will run from November 08, 2025 to November 07, 2026 and the fourth and final year will run from November 08, 2026 to November 07, 2027.
