Our bespoke Jam product is a lossless archival engine and data distribution service to implement data-centric software infrastructure for commercial applications. Jam has been used by medical research firms to learn, store, and distribute multi-terabyte genomes (FASTQ format) 15% more efficiently than any other solution on the market. Jam provides a method of slashing storage and network bandwidth by 100x, achieving huge energy and cost savings for high-availability data-planes and rolling-updates of mission-critical data. Primarily used by big-data customers, our technology has been used in the field over the past four years in a variety of verticals: from increasing the energy efficiency of VMWare site-to-site backups, to acting as a backend solution for long-term cold-storage, and facilitating over-the-air software updates with orders of magnitude lower bandwidth; working optimally in constrained bandwidth networks on low-power hardware, and on high-bandwidth multi-core server hardware.
