    Work of this contract comprises the furnishing of all labour,
    materials, equipment and supervision required for the
    replacement of a headgate structure, inlet and outlet channel
    excavation and Gap Creek Diversion embankment repairs at the
    Downie Lake Dam located near Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, as
    specified in the drawings and specifications.
    
    A site visit will be held on May 24, 2013 at 10:00h. Attendees
    must report to the AAFC Office located at Highway 21 and Second
    Avenue, Maple Creek, Saskatchewan. Bidders who, for any reason,
    cannot attend at the specified date and time will not be given
    an alternative appointment to view the site. No exceptions will
    be made
    
    Safety Attire - It is mandatory that all persons attending the
    site visit have the proper safety footwear (CSA approved green
    patch) . Hard hats are also required. Contractor
    personnel/individuals who do not have the proper safety attire
    will be denied access to the site
    
    Bidders are responsible for obtaining copies of bid forms and
    special instructions which are available directly from the MERX
    site.
    
    Drawings and Specifications are now available for viewing and
    downloading in a Portable Document Format (PDF) or in a standard
    paper version. Bidders should note that Attachment 1 (ATT 1)
    contains the Drawings and Specifications Package (DSP) which
    consists of PDF files organized in an industry recognized
    directory structure.
    
    It is the responsibility of the Bidder to ensure that all
    addenda issued prior to bid closing have been obtained and
    addressed in the submitted bid.
