    Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) has a requirement for Dredging at Joe Batt’s Arm, NL. Work under this contract will consist of, but will not necessarily be limited to, the following: Dredging of Class “A” and Class “B” material from the small craft harbor site in Joe Batt’s Arm and disposal to a designated site in the community of Seldom.  Diving probes are included on the drawings for the Contractor’s reference.  Note that heavy equipment use atop of the existing wharf (which is under construction), will not be permitted.
    
    Due to the location of this project, there are certain potential environmental impacts and recommended mitigation measures, and certain regulatory approvals in place for this project (these will be provided to the Contractor).  
    
    No dredging activities will be permitted to start until September 1, 2016.
    
    SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
    
    Before submitting a bid, it is recommended that bidders visit the site as a part of the scheduled tender site visit to review and verify the form, nature, and extent of the work, materials needed, the means of access and the temporary facilities required to perform the work. Please review specification section 01 35 29 - Health and Safety Requirements - and take all appropriate safety measures for any site visit, either before or after acceptance of bid.  
    
    Bidders must refer to R2710T GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS -Construction Services - Bid Security Requirements (2016-04-04) for the Integrity Provisions applicable to this requirement.
