COVID-19 VACCINATION REQUIREMENT
This requirement is subject to the COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for Supplier Personnel. Failure to complete and provide the COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement Certification as required precedent to contract award will render the bid non-responsive.
This requirement provides arrangements for a site visit that is subject to the COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for Supplier Personnel. Bidders who do not confirm attendance, provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend, or who do not complete and submit the requested certification as required will not be allowed access to the site.
OPTIONAL SITE VISIT
There will be an optional site visit on April 1, 2022 at 11:00 AM PDT. Interested bidders are to meet at the entrance to the Kwisitis Visitor Centre. The building address is as follows: 485 Wick Rd, Ucluelet, BC V0R 3A0.
Please be advised that there will be a limit of two (2) representatives per bidder attending the site visit. Bidders are requested to RSVP to the contracting authority by March 31, 2022 at 12:00 PM MDT.
In accordance with provincial health regulations, interested bidders must be symptom free, wear a face mask and disposable gloves and observe social distancing from others on site.
Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority before the optional site visit to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
5. This site visit is subject to the COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for Supplier Personnel. The person(s) who attend must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a Health Canada-approved COVID-19 vaccine(s), or, for personnel that are unable to be vaccinated due to a certified medical contraindication, religion or other prohibited grounds of discrimination under the Canadian Human Rights Act, subject to accommodation and mitigation measures that have been presented to and approved by Canada.
Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than March 31, 2022 at 12:00 PM MDT to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend.
Bidders must also complete and submit the Certification ‘’APPENDIX 2’’ prior to the Site Visit.
BIDS RECEIVED BY FAX AND EMAIL WILL BE ACCEPTED AS OFFICIAL.
BIDS RECEIVED IN-PERSON OR BY COURIER MAY NOT BE ACCEPTED.
The only acceptable email address for responses to bid solicitations is soumissionsami-bidsrpc@pc.gc.ca. Bids submitted by email directly to the Contracting Authority or to any email address other than soumissionsami-bidsrpc@pc.gc.ca will not be accepted.

The maximum email file size that Parks Canada is capable of receiving is 15 megabytes. The Bidder is responsible for any failure attributable to the transmission or receipt of the emailed bid due to file size.
The Bidder should be cognisant of the size of the email as a whole, and not only the attachments. Please take into consideration that some attachments, when sent, may be resized during the email transfer. If the email size is too large, the Bidder should send the bid in multiple emails properly labeled with the solicitation number, project name, and indicate how many emails are included (ex. 1 of 2).
Emails with links to bid documents will not be accepted. Bid documents must be sent as email attachments.
REQUIREMENT
Parks Canada requires a contractor to perform extensive remediation of severe water-related damage in the basement of the Kwisitis Visitor Centre in Pacific Rim National Park Reserve in the Coastal BC Field Unit. The work also includes repairs to various life-safety infrastructure in the building including the alarm system, emergency lighting, sprinkler heads, pull stations etc.

To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated at a value between $100,001 > $ 250,000, Taxes extra.
PERIOD OF CONTRACT
The Contractor must perform and complete the Work by June 30, 2022
SECURITY REQUIREMENT
There is a security requirement associated with this bid solicitation.
The following security requirement applies and form part of the Contract.
The Contractor/Offeror’s personnel as well as their subcontractors that require unescorted access to work site(s) as well as access to sensitive assets or information must EACH hold and maintain a valid RELIABILITY STATUS, granted or approved by Parks Canada Agency Security Directorate (PCASD).
*Sensitive assets may include: Cash, artefacts, firearms, explosives, keys, vehicles, Historic sites and buildings, electronic equipment, IT networks, Critical installations and systems, etc.
The Contractor/Offeror’s personnel as well as their subcontractors MUST NOT remove any PCA information or assets from the identified work site(s) without consent from a PCA employee, and they must ensure that their personnel are made aware of and comply with this restriction.

All enquiries of a technical and contractual nature are to be submitted to the Contracting Authority.
Enquiries regarding this solicitation must be submitted in writing and should be received no later than 5 business days prior to the date set for solicitation closing to allow sufficient time to provide a response. Enquiries received after that time may result in an answer NOT being provided.
INFORMATION
National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.
Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders. Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.
The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada. Parks Canada has made every effort to provide equivalent documents in both official languages, however, if you find any discrepancies between the English and French documents, please notify the contract officer listed in this opportunity as soon as possible so that we can rectify the situation.
