Collection of Pest Management Data to Update the National Field Crop Profiles

This Project is part of the Pesticide Risk Reduction Program’s (PRRP’s) support to collect information to update eight national field crop profiles (chickpea, dry bean, field pea, lentil, field corn, soybean, spring wheat and winter wheat). The crop profiles are web based documents that contain time-sensitive information on production and pest management for a crop or crop group that must be kept up-to-date to be useful for government, provinces, industry and growers. Current versions of the crop profiles are available from the Government of Canada Publications website. The requirement is for information on pest occurrence and pest management practices to be collected from relevant provinces for one or more of the eight field crops identified, by means of standardized PDF forms developed by AAFC. National, grower-identified pest management issues for each crop profiled will also be compiled under this project.
