Notice is hereby given that Interior Health Authority (the “Health Authority”), through their agent Provincial Health Services Authority (“PHSA”), intends to directly award a Contract to the following supplier to provide a scheduled 3-day/week patient transfer service between Cariboo Memorial Hospital, 100 Mile House Hospital and Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) with a same-day return (note: Clearwater and Ashcroft Hospital transfers can be supported on-demand) for a term of three (3) months, on a trial basis. If successful, this service will be extended to March 31, 2025 under the existing contract with the following supplier. This service will be at an initial estimated value of $125,000.00 and a potential full term value of $740,000.00.

PHSA, as agent for the Health Authority has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason
- the goods or services can be supplied only by the selected supplier and no alternative or substitute exists for the following reason:
- To ensure compatibility with existing goods, or to maintain specialized goods that must be maintained by the manufacturer of those goods or its representative.
The Health Authority has chosen to conduct a three (3) month trial for patient transfers between RIH and Interior Health Authority sites at Cariboo Memorial Hospital, 100 Mile House Hospital on a regular schedule. This additional service will provide patient benefits by providing timely access to RIH services and programs located at other communities and timely repatriation back to the patient’s homes.
